Dr Obreschkow even created the iOS App 'Cosmic Eye' to generate the video.
The three minute footage begins on a woman's face and continuously zooms out, revealing a shot of the universe, one billion light years away from Earth. The viral video shows 'Louise' at the centre of the universe, this journey through space has had about 38 million views since it was shared on the The Science World Facebook page.

The Perth astrophysicist said, "I was teaching an arts class ... a bunch of 200 non-scientists, and I thought I wanted to do something to explain the different scales of the universe."
Attempts to gain an audience for the video online were unsuccessful, and had attracted little attention in fours years. Dr Obreschkow even paid someone in PR to get the video noticed but nothing came out of it apart from a few hundred views.
This ball changed when the Facebook page, The Science World, posted the video on April 11 where it was quickly shared around the world wide web: 'I think they post a science video every day and normally they get between 10,000 and 13,000 views,' Dr Obreschkow said, 'This time they got 1,000 times more.'
Dr Obreschkow added that The Science World team were just as surprised by the video's success as he was.
The movie was created using a smartphone app called 'Cosmic Eye' and displays real photographs and accurate renderings of state-of-the-art computer models.
